I'm John Curtis, the founder and principal consultant at 43 Bridges.
For more than 20 years, I've been immersed in digital strategy, most notably leading the SEO program at Walgreens, a Fortune 50 omni-channel retailer, for 13 years. I built that program from the ground up, scaling technical SEO, content strategy, and local search into enterprise-level performance drivers that helped move the bottom line.
Before Walgreens, I cut my teeth in the agency world, working hands-on across social media, reputation management, and early SEO. And since then, I’ve also advised small businesses on operations, marketing, and strategy—giving me a full-spectrum view of what works across organizations of all sizes.
What 43 Bridges Stands for
At 43 Bridges, you get big-company expertise with small-company focus. I work directly with every client. I have no account managers and no junior handoffs, which means clarity, accountability, and momentum for every project.
I stay hands-on with the latest in AI, search engine evolution, and content strategy to translate these shifts into real-world impact for your business.
Why “43Bridges”?
It’s a nod to the number of bridges it takes to get to the city I call home, Key West. Bridges are also one of my favorite elements of the city I called home for 15 years, Chicago. But it also reflects my philosophy: bridging teams, tools, and ideas to create scalable, sustainable growth.
